The Vandal has been a member of Greenspark, a platform that helps small and large businesses
make a positive impact on the world. For every item sold, The
Vandal donates an amount to Greenspark, which plants trees and supports sustainable
projects on our behalf.
The founders of Greenspark are optimists, just like The Vandal. They believe that every
organization, every company, has the potential to do good. But they also know that running a business takes a lot
of energy, and that there’s often little time left to focus
on sustainability and CO₂ offsetting. That’s where Greenspark can help.

A shared vision of the garment industry
‘As soon as I heard about Greenspark and learned how they operate, I signed The Vandal up for
the community,’ says Toon from The Vandal. ‘We pay a monthly fee for
Greenspark’s operations. For each order, we donate an additional amount to plant a tree
(€0.34) and rescue two plastic bottles from the ocean (€0.10). Specifically,
Greenspark uses that money to plant trees in Central America, Africa, and other locations. Or they
support projects that recycle plastic bottles while also providing employment to
vulnerable communities.’
For The Vandal, a Greenspark membership isn’t just an easy way to
ease our conscience or make an impact with minimal effort. It’s an integral part
of our vision.
The Vandal is very conscious of the impact the fashion industry has on people and
our planet. We choose eco-friendly textiles, printing, and packaging materials. We keep
our supply chain short and our collections small to avoid overstock. But also
working conditions are crucial, and we are therefore proud of our Fair Wear and GOTS-
tags.
Planting mangrove forests together

The Vandal joined Greenspark to make a positive impact on our planet
and our fellow human beings. And as a The Vandal customer, you’re helping too. Be sure to check out our
Greenspark page and see the impact you’ve made together with us.
We’ve already planted enough trees to cover six soccer fields, spread across a mangrove project
in Kenya and an economic project that helps create jobs for local communities in Madagascar,
Haiti, Nepal, Indonesia, Mozambique, Kenya, Nicaragua, and Honduras.
Do you run a business yourself, big or small? Be sure to join Greenspark and become
just as climate-positive as The Vandal.
