The champion of champions “Il Campionissimo”, a name reserved only for the greatest. In his career Fausto won 5 times the Giro, 2x the Tour, 5x Lombardy, 3x Milan San Remo and 1x Paris Roubaux and was also world champion in '53 and world hour record holder from 1942. The flamboyant Italian was also known for his battle against that other greatness Bartali but also because of his turbulent love life. In other words, a cycling legend who had what it takes to be known as one of the greatest, more than 60 years after his tragic death. Reason enough to add him to our legend line.
